We bring life to your Landscape at a price you can afford!

"I thought that an organic lawn program was going to be expensive, everything else organic is.  After getting a few other estimates, I found that Organic Lawns' prices were very competitive."

                                                                     Edward T.

"Whow! what else can I say.  I was skeptical and did not fully understand what an organic lawn program really was supposed to do, but we decided to give it a try and see what happens."

                                                            A. J.

In most cases you don't have to look very hard to see which lawn is organic.  Most of our customers are surviving the drought with flying colors.

Why Organics ...

  •  Produces drought tolerance.

  •  Holds more moisture.

  •  Reduces watering.

  •  Builds a healthy soil profile.

  •  Increases soil porosity.

  • The implementation of an organic lawn care program is intended to re-establish and balance the soil profile with microbial life. Mother Nature intended for her forests and grass lands to be self preserving. Soil life provides the nutrients needed for plant life and the plants provide nutrients in the form of carbohydrates and sugars known as exudates to the biological soil profile.

Chemical based fertilizers have a negative effect on the population of micro organisms, often killing off entire populations and rendering the soil dead, completely void of life. Practically all chemical fertilizers are salt based. Salt has the same effect on plants as drought. Excessive salt in the soil reduces the plants ability to take up water.

Homeowners hold an enormous potential for restoring the richness of our plant and wildlife habitat that has been dislodged by our carelessness. By maintaining a healthy organic surrounding in our neighborhoods we are helping to restore environmental harmony for our children and grand children.

    Organic Fertilizers vs. Synthetic

Interestingly enough, most lawn care companies use salt based synthetic products in their service programs. Also important to note is that most of the turf care products carried in the big box stores are high in salt content, as well. There's no wonder why the soil is in the shape it's in. Salt based products dry out the soil and increase soil compaction. The soil literally dies due to the lack of microbial activity in the soil. And the only thing that will give it life again is to give it the ability to breathe. This is just one of the benefits of organic fertilizers and soil treatment programs. In part, Organic Lawns' annual management program introduces organic matter and living microbes directly into the soil which promotes and re-builds the soil food web. This diversity in microorganisms increases the soils porosity and over time, allows for better air circulation, water retention, and nutrient exchange within the soil profile.

Who waters the forest and grasslands?

Organics can help conserve water. It can reduce the  watering needs 30% to 60%.

The tiny microscopic bacteria and fungi contained in the soil profile increase the porosity in the soil that holds capillary water. Capillary water is a “film” of water that is not affected by gravitational pull and remains available longer to the plant roots.

According to the US Department of Agriculture, National Resources Conservation Service, by enhancing the soils organic matter, a series of soil changes and environmental benefits follow.

  • Surface structure becomes more stable and less prone to crusting and erosion.

  • Water infiltration increases and runoff decreases and the soil structure improves.

  • Soils rich in organic matter hold 10 to 1,000 times more water and nutrients than the same amount of soil containing only minerals.
